Scottish Terriers are small and lively dogs that make excellent companions. They range from 18-22 pounds and 10 inches in size. Their life expectancy is is 12 years. Scottish Terriers are affectionate family pets but may need supervision around young children and other dogs.
Scotties have a distinctive low set body and bearded face. Their long top coat and dense undercoat can be black, brindle, or yellow. They shed very little but do require frequent grooming.
